How to Use Dynamic Shortcodes in Elementor

Updated this week

There are three ways to use Dynamic Shortcodes in Elementor: Dynamic Tags, the Text Editor widget, and the Paragraph widget.

Dynamic Tags

Dynamic Tags allow you to insert Dynamic Shortcodes inside Elementor's editor settings. They are available for Image, Gallery, and Text (URL, number, date/time, color, and meta) settings.

Dynamic Tags work with both classic Elementor and Elementor V4 Atomic Widgets.

Text Editor Widget

The "Text Editor with Dynamic Shortcodes" widget works like the standard Elementor Text Editor, but expands Dynamic Shortcodes on the frontend. Write Dynamic Shortcodes directly in the visual editor alongside your regular HTML and text.

This widget is available for classic Elementor (non-Atomic).

Paragraph Widget (Elementor V4)

The "Paragraph with Dynamic Shortcodes" widget is built for Elementor V4 Atomic Widgets. Write Dynamic Shortcodes directly in the paragraph content.

  • Tag - The HTML tag to use: p or span.

  • Link - Optional URL to wrap the paragraph content in a link.

Settings

You can enable or disable each Elementor integration in Dynamic Shortcodes > Settings, under the Elementor section:

  • Dynamic Tag - Use Dynamic Shortcodes inside Elementor settings that support Dynamic Tags.

  • Widgets - Adds the Text Editor widget for classic Elementor.

  • Widgets (V4 Atomic) - Adds the Paragraph widget for Elementor V4 Atomic Widgets.
