Tokens Detector automatically tracks deprecated token usage across your site, helping you identify what needs to be migrated to Dynamic Shortcodes. It records each unique token content along with the pages where it appears.
How It Works
Tokens are detected only when pages containing them are visited by real users or administrators. For accurate results, you may need to wait several weeks as visitors browse your site, or manually visit pages that might contain tokens.
Settings
The Tokens Detector tab appears under the Tokens settings page when Tokens are enabled.
Tokens Detector Status - Enable or disable the detector. Disabled by default.
Detected Tokens Table
When enabled, a table shows all detected tokens sorted by most recently seen:
Content - The token text found on the page.
First Seen - When the token was first detected.
Last Seen - When the token was last encountered.
Pages - List of pages where the token was found, with direct edit links.
Use the Clear All Detected Tokens button to reset the list and start fresh.
Performance
To keep your site fast, the detector limits tracking to 150 unique items and updates timestamps every 5 minutes instead of on every page load. When the limit is reached, new tokens will not be tracked until you clear some existing items.
